Equity and Inclusion

We are actively addressing diversity within our staff composition, with a current count of seven certificated staff members of color. With this commitment in mind, our school is proactively seeking out and recruiting more diverse staff members to join our team. 

We have established affinity groups for families by creating a supportive network for community bonds and providing resources for various needs. Family meeting spaces for CCEIS families take place three times per year bringing together individuals who share common experiences, interests, or identities, allowing families to connect with others who understand their unique challenges. 

We are currently in the process of establishing an unofficial affinity group for staff within the organization. Although still in the early stages of development, this affinity group holds promise in enhancing workplace culture and promoting a sense of belonging among employees. 

We are dedicated to providing professional development opportunities for our diverse students at school. Student discourse focused on Culturally Responsive Teaching (CLRT) ultimately helps equip them with the tools and knowledge to become culturally competent educators in their own right.
